Contemporary Art Giant Joan Jonas will perform a historic event in 2019.

In 1970s, Joan Jonas established the new Artistic Expression by integrating Performance and New Media. The Inamori Foundation will hold “Solo Performance” and “Exhibition” at Kyoto in December, 2019; her largest ever event in Japan to honor the 2018 Kyoto Prize laureate.

Recently, Jonas has been holding the retrospective exhibitions such as “Documenta” in Germany and “Tate Modern” in UK. Jonas is still working vigorously in the world as a front-runner in the contemporary art. Check it out how the legend of contemporary art will make a newly historic movement in Kyoto.
