This year, Kyoto Prize features the following fields for each category:
Information Science for Advanced Technology, Life Sciences and Medicine (Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Systems Biology, etc.) for Basic Sciences, and Thought and Ethics for Arts and Philosophy.
