French representative museum “Pompidou Centre” celebrates 40th anniversary on January 31, 2017.

There are many world-class museums in France. The Louvre Museum exhibits the artworks from ancient Rome through 1848; Muse’e du Orsay for 1848 – 1914; Pompidou Centre for early 20th century – present; The Pompidou Centre is one of the French Art Hall of Fame as well as the Louvre and the Orsay, which conveys the historical artworks up till today.

The Pompidou Centre is a communal building that Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers co-worked. Renzo Piano built IRCAM: Institute for Research and Coordination in Acoustics/Music within Pompidou Centre, with the musician Pierre Boulez (2009 Kyoto Prize laureate). Renzo Piano mentioned there was no border between art and architecture; truly no boundary between one field and another.

It is a mysterious encounter that the two Kyoto Prize laureates in the Arts and Philosophy resonate in France, a culture nation, in terms of creation of the facility where people seek for deepening sensitivity.
