The press conference was held to announce the 2012 Kyoto Prize Laureates at the Kyoto Prize Library in the Inamori Center, Kyoto University. At the conference, Shigetada Nakanishi (Chairman, Kyoto Prize Executive Committee), Shun-ichi Amari (Chairman, Kyoto Prize Committee in Advanced Technology), Tasuku Honjo (Chairman, Kyoto Prize Committee in Basic Sciences), and Kiyokazu Washida (Chairman, Kyoto Prize Committee in Arts and Philosophy) explained and commented on the new laureates’ achievements. The press conference was broadcast live on the internet and the recorded video can be viewed on the Kyoto Prize website.
The Kyoto Prize Library has a special exhibition until July 14: works related to the new laureates including letters, research documents and books.
